The Maison des Consuls is an old historical house situated in the heart of Mirepoix’s very famous medieval square. It offers you an unimpeded view of the 13th century. Half of the bedrooms, recently refurbished with antique furniture, give on to the magnificently preserved “couverts”. Each one has its own style, ranging from 15th century to contemporary, and all are very comfortable with beautiful bedrooms. Breakfast is served in a nice, rustic room on the ground floor, the “Café des Maquignons”, or on the square during the season. For dinning, we can recommend you many restaurants, located in walking distance. Before eating, take the time to stroll around this small but extraordinary market town, have a drink in one of the many bars on the square, and watch the way people live in Mirepoix. A marvelous moment, especially if you come on Mondays-market day.
