The Maison des Consuls, or “The Councilors House” is an impressive, historic building located on the medieval central square in the town of Mirepoix. It is renowned for its decorated façade of many curious, carved wooden creatures and faces which are found under the covered timber arcades. La Maison des Consuls was originally built at the end of the 13th century.

La Maison des Consuls, a charming and characterful hotel, has a bar called ‘Les Raisins de Pyrène’.
Its speciality is introducing guests to the wines of the Pyrenean foothills: from Irouléguy in the Basque country to the sun-kissed wines of Collioure, not forgetting the diversity offered by Jurançon, Madiran, Côtes de Casogne, Ariège wines, Malpère, Corbières and Côtes du Roussillon, sourced from small producers who love their region.
The originality of this selection is a perfect accompaniment to a variety of regional platters (cold meats, foie gras, cheeses, etc.).
